The Character Gyorunton can evolve weapons with any chest pickup that gives an item, regardless of other conditions.Treasure Chests that contain an Arcana (minutes 11:00 and 21:00 in every normal stage) can only evolve a weapon when the player is already at the max count of Arcana.In Tiny Bridge, all chests, except the chests from minute 3:00 and 6:00 bosses, can evolve a weapon.For example, chests dropped by waves from Dairy Plant prior to 10 minute mark can evolve a weapon, but waves from Inlaid Library cannot.In Green Acres the ability to evolve a weapon is the same as the wave in its original stage.All chests in Dairy Plant, Il Molise, Cappella Magna and Boss Rash can evolve a weapon regardless of time.The first chest in Mad Forest dropped by the Glowing Bat, which spawns along the wave at 1:00, can evolve a weapon.In most stages, this kind of chests are dropped by bosses that spawned at or after the 10-minute mark with some exceptions: The player must then collect a Treasure Chest that contains an evolution type reward.In case of Bracelet, Bi-Bracelet and Super Candybox II Turbo, a passive item is not needed.In the case of Infinite Corridor, Crimson Shroud, Sole Solution, and Ashes of Muspell, all related passive items must also be fully leveled.This may also require a passive item counterpart. In case of union, both base weapons must be fully leveled up.The player must have a fully leveled base weapon and its counterpart (required level varies by case) in their inventory.To evolve or unite a weapon, or to obtain a gift, the player needs to fulfill following conditions: 2 List of evolutions, unions, and gifts.If you're not going Cavallo or Mortaccio however, it's probably going to best fair stuff like the guns, whip, hellfire, runetracer, and low amount weapons. They're obvious but they are: pentagram, garlic, song of mana, lancet, and laurel. The weapons that don't synergize with amount is probably more important. More than half of the weapons get a 250% increase, basically anything that can benefit from amount is at the very least worthwhile. Bone, runetracer, and cherry bomb go from 3 to 9. In conclusion, I will have to check but in theory: hellfire, heavenly sword, and whip benefit the most mathematically. The wiki mentions that the slashes alternate left and right so it might be similar to heavenly sword in buffing cooldown and not amount directly. The whip obviously gets amount power up boost but this sounds too good to be true. Going to test it out myself to see but whip goes from 2 to 8. Some people say amount is not worth it for knives specifically because it fires at an infinite rate but imo with candel is still worth because it can potentially double the DPS. I don't know by how much but amount buffs increase the heavenly sword's cooldown not amount. Not sure what the total amount bonuses will be but I will also test. Hellfire is listed as "2(-1)" on the wiki. The amount is listed as "20(+9)" but in either event, you still have the inconvenience of going for Vandalier. Phieraggi (with revives) goes from 6 to 12, I would still just use Pugnala personally. La Borra goes from 4 to 10 with max bonuses. Obviously from a math perspective, those with fewer projectiles by default proportionally benefit more. You are right about bone and cherry bomb.
